AMO standard: recurve strings are 4" shorter than bow length, longbow strings are 3" shorter. Actual string length may vary by manufacturer. Brace height is measured from the deepest part of the grip to the string. Adjust brace height by twisting the string more (shorter/higher) or fewer (longer/lower) times.
