Warm vs cool colors for painting and design
Color temperature describes how warm (toward red/yellow) or cool (toward blue/green) a color appears. Every pigment leans warm or cool, even within the same hue family. A warm red (Cadmium Red) differs from a cool red (Alizarin Crimson).
