How to Use This Tuner

This reference tuner plays the exact target frequency for each guitar string. Click a string, listen to the tone, then tune your guitar string until it matches the pitch. Work from the thickest string (6th) to the thinnest (1st).

Standard Tuning (EADGBe)

Standard tuning is the most common guitar tuning. From the thickest to thinnest string: E2, A2, D3, G3, B3, E4. Most songs, chord charts, and lessons assume standard tuning.
