How We Keep These Right

A calculator is only worth using if its numbers are current, so we check them against the bodies that publish them and record the date we looked.

  • We cite the primary source, not a summary. Tax thresholds come from the IRS and the individual state revenue departments, Korean figures from ๊ตญ์„ธ์ฒญ and ๋ฒ•์ œ์ฒ˜ statute text, electricity rates from ํ•œ๊ตญ์ „๋ ฅ, water treatment guidance from the CDC, trademark procedure from the USPTO, and every lottery record from that game's official operator.
  • When a figure cannot be verified, we say so on the page rather than guessing. The estate tax page, for example, notes that the District of Columbia figure is its published 2025 amount because DC has not yet published one for 2026.
  • Rules that changed get re-checked, not assumed. Washington's estate tax exclusion, Maine's and New York's annual indexing, and Connecticut's link to the federal exemption are all read from the state's own tables each time.
  • Estimates are labelled as estimates. These tools are for orientation. They are not tax, legal, medical or financial advice, and complicated situations need a professional.

Our Technology

Every tool runs entirely in your web browser using standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No data is sent to external servers, ensuring your privacy and fast performance. Our site is hosted on Cloudflare's global CDN for the fastest possible loading times worldwide.

What we do not do

The limits are part of the product, so they are worth stating plainly. We do not give advice โ€” not medical, not financial, not legal. A calculator can tell you what a formula produces from the numbers you typed; it cannot know your history, your other obligations or your jurisdictionโ€™s exceptions, and pages here say so where it matters.

We do not invent statistics. If a page quotes a prevalence, a rate or a survey figure, it names the body that published it. Where we could not find a source for a number, the number comes out rather than getting a vague attribution โ€” we have removed figures from our own pages on exactly that basis. We also do not publish fabricated experience, invented testimonials or reviews of products we have not used.

How a page gets corrected

Every tool page carries a verification date and the source it was checked against. When a rate, limit or threshold changes, the page is updated and the date moves with it; where a figure has an annual cycle, the page says when the next review is due. Reader corrections go to sungje5575@gmail.com and are checked against the official source before anything changes, so a correction either lands with a reference or does not land at all.
