Prize tiers and odds
| Match | Prize | Odds per line |
|---|
Prizes: the operator's draw-details pages (2026-10-12 수신 · draw 790 (08 Oct 2026)). Odds: worked out from the format (5 from 47 + 1 from 10).
Tax
UK government guidance lists "premium bond or National Lottery wins" among the income you do not pay tax on (gov.uk/income-tax, read 12 Oct 2026). The monthly payments are the prize itself; interest or returns you later earn on them are taxed in the normal way.
A free Set For Life number generator and results checker for the UK National Lottery game. Set For Life is drawn Monday and Thursday: five main numbers from 1 to 47 and one Life Ball from 1 to 10. Instead of a lump-sum jackpot, the top prize is £10,000 every month for 30 years, and five main numbers without the Life Ball pay £10,000 a month for one year. Every other tier is a fixed cash amount, so this page can show exactly what any line would have won across the stored draws. Results and the winners in each tier come from the operator's draw history and draw-details pages.
Why the second prize is won so often
Matching all five main numbers is 1 in 1,533,939 per line; the Life Ball then splits that into the top prize (1 in 10 of those) and the second prize. In the 51 stored draws the second prize was won in most draws, often by two or three lines, as the winners column in the result tab shows.
What a £1.50 line pays back on the cash tiers
The six cash tiers (£250 down to £5) are fixed, so their contribution to a line's average return can be worked out exactly from the odds table below. The two monthly prizes are paid over time, so this page does not turn them into a single cash figure.

These odds are calculated from this game's own number format (5 main numbers from 47, plus 1 Life Ball from 10) using exact combinatorics — not estimates. Which combinations pay, and how much, is set by the operator; the amounts here are the operator's published prizes.

Why past results do not help
Every draw uses the full sets of balls again, so each draw is independent of every draw before it. A number that came up ten times last month has exactly the same chance next draw as one that never came up. No generator, including this one, can improve your odds. This tool picks numbers at random and nothing more.

Frequently asked questions
What are the odds of winning the Set For Life top prize?
One in 15,339,390. Five main numbers from 47 give 1,533,939 combinations and the Life Ball adds ten choices: 1,533,939 × 10. The figure is worked out from the game format.
How is the Set For Life top prize paid?
As £10,000 every month for 30 years, according to the operator's draw-details pages. Matching five main numbers without the Life Ball pays £10,000 every month for one year.
Do I pay tax on Set For Life winnings?
Not on the prize. UK government guidance lists National Lottery wins among income you do not pay tax on. Returns you later earn on the money are taxed as usual.
Does the statistics tab help pick numbers?
No. Each draw uses all the balls again, so every draw is independent of the last. The counts describe the past only.
Where the numbers come from. Prizes as published on the operator's draw-details pages: Match 5 + Life Ball £10,000 every month for 30 years, Match 5 £10,000 every month for one year, then £250, £50, £30, £20, £10 and £5. Stored draws are checked: every tier pays the fixed amount and the tier winners add up to the operator's total. The odds are worked out from the format (5 from 47 + Life Ball 1 from 10); we have not read them off an operator odds page.
