These odds are calculated from this game's own number format (59 main numbers, choose 6) using exact combinatorics — not estimates. Find the row you care about: the jackpot line is what everyone looks at first, but the lower rows are where almost all actual results land. Note that matching numbers is not the same as winning a prize — which combinations pay, and how much, is set by the lottery operator, so check the official prize table below.
Since 10 June 2026 one £2 line is entered into two independent rounds of the same draw, each drawing six numbers plus a bonus ball. The table below is per round; the jackpot chance per round is unchanged, but because a line plays twice, the chance of winning any prize works out at about 1 in 4.9 per line instead of 1 in 9.2 (worked out from the format).

Why past results do not help
Every draw uses the full set of balls again, so each draw is independent of every draw before it. A number that came up ten times last year has exactly the same chance tonight as one that never came up. The draw-count charts on this page are historical records, not signals. No generator, including this one, can improve your odds. This tool picks numbers at random and nothing more.

What are the odds of winning the UK Lotto jackpot?
One in 45,057,474 per round. Six numbers from fifty-nine gives exactly that many combinations, and the figure on this page is worked out from the format rather than quoted; the bonus ball is not part of it. Since 10 June 2026 one line is entered into two independent rounds of the same draw, so a line gets two goes at that chance.
Do I pay tax on a UK lottery win?
Not on the prize itself. UK lottery winnings are not taxed as income, which is why a UK jackpot figure is closer to what a winner actually receives than a US one. Income the money later earns, and inheritance tax on what remains in your estate, are separate questions.
Why are the lower tiers so much easier to reach?
Because matching fewer numbers has far more winning combinations. The gap between the jackpot row and the bottom row of the odds table on this page spans several orders of magnitude, which is why almost every prize ever paid comes from the lower rows.
Are the numbers that come up most often worth picking?
No. Every draw uses the full set of balls again, so each draw is independent of every draw before it. Frequency counts record the past and say nothing about the next draw.
Which prizes are fixed. Since 10 June 2026 the operator's prize breakdowns show Match 5 + Bonus £1,000,000, Match 5 £1,000, Match 4 £50, Match 3 £10 and Match 2 £1 (before that: £1,750, £140, £30 and a free Lucky Dip). In a rolldown draw the lower tiers pay more, and the jackpot is shared, so each draw's breakdown on this page shows what was actually paid. The odds are worked out from the format; we have not read them off the operator's own odds page.
